Greetings from Italy! Jim has figured out a way to deliver our Episode 234 from here, even though we can't do it live. We prerecorded a 35 minute show. There are a couple of glitches with sound and freezing screens due to problems with equipmentt and connectivity, but have some patience and we think you'll learn a lot. It will start playing on our YouTube channel: YouTube.com/GeeksOnTourTV at our normal time of 2pm Eastern Time. We hope you can watch, and we will respond to any comments/questions.
We want to show you the process we used to walk around Rome, and we'll tell you all about it in this episode. We'll show you how we:
- Found all the places we wanted to go and entered them into Google Maps directions
- Saved the directions on Google Maps so we could pull up the list each day and add/delete/rearrange our stops as we wanted
- Navigated with Google Maps in walking mode and used Live View to really see where we are and which way to go. Here's the standalone video 590o
*Note: we will be pre-recording this episode, but delivering it at the normal time. We may or may not be able to participate in the chat live because we will be in a cooking class in Tuscany :-). But we do plan to do our normal members-only Zoom meeting afterward - from the cooking class!!
