Hi
Thanks for being a premium member of Geeks on Tour.
Do you have some old CDs you'd like to listen to? Did you know you can copy the songs from a CD to a computer, upload them to the cloud, and play them on your
phone? That's just one of the things we teach in this week's lesson. Here's something to try right now:
- Open the Google Play Music on a computer. Make sure you're signed in with your Google account
- Tap the 3-line menu at the upper left and Upload Music
- If you have some music in your computer - likely in the YourName/Music folder - you can find it and click to upload.
If you don't have any music on a computer, but you have CDs, then watch the show to see how to "Rip" them - Once you've uploaded music to
your account in Google Play Music, you can open the Google Play Music app on any device and play your music.
But you don't need to have any CDs to get music these days. Just install any of the the dozen or so music streaming apps (Google Play Music is just one of them) and you can search for, and play, just about any song you can imagine.
