The show is already set up for June 30, 2pm Eastern, you can follow this link to YouTube and then click the "Set Reminder" to send a reminder when we go live. If
you want advance notice, you may want to add it to your calendar. If you follow the link to our YouTube page, make sure you're subscribed, ok? ... and click the little bell to get notified when we add something new.
Last Sunday, in Episode 168, of What Does This Button Do, our guest, Ron Brown tells us about staying connected when traveling abroad. The #1 method is to go to a cellular company store when you arrive at your destination and purchase a SIM card for your phone. SIM stands for Subscriber Information Module and it's the SIM card
that connects your device with a cellular service provider. You buy that card along with a plan for the service you need. You may be surprised how inexpensive data can be outside of the US.
If you are traveling away from home, you may be subject to significant roaming charges. You can check right now to see if your "Allow Roaming" setting is on or off:
- Android: Settings, Mobile Networks, Data Roaming Access - tap on that to see your choice and choose "Deny Data roaming"
- iOS: Settings, Cellular, Cellular Data Options, Data Roaming = off
