Hi
Try a video call for Christmas. If your family uses iPhones, you've probably had video calls using Facetime. But, what if some of the family or friends have Android? You just need to use a different app. We think you should try Duo by Google.
- Install the Duo app. It's free in the App store (iOS) or the Play store (Android)
- You will need to enter your phone number and reply to a text message to complete the installation
- Open the app, enter the phone number of the person you want to call, tap the button for Video Call.
- If they don't have the Duo app, this will send them an invitation, so they can install it by just following the prompts
- Once they have the app installed, you can call and it will ring on their phone. When they answer you will both see and hear each other.
Watch episode 181 to learn more about Google Duo from our guest, Michael Daniels. He is a product expert for Google Duo and he shows how to use it to make simple, high quality video calls between any types of devices, leave video messages, make group calls, and more.
