Hi
I used to keep all my photos on my computer. Back then, I needed to put them into some kind of logical folders. The problem was I changed my mind - make folders by location? by date? by people?
Now I keep all my photos in the cloud, using Google Photos. They aren't divided into folders at all, just one giant stream sorted by date. But, anytime I want I can wave my Google magic wand and see all the photos for a particular location, or a particular person or even an activity, like kayaking. WITH NO WORK AT ALL ON MY PART!
The Recipe
- You need a Google Account, and the Google Photos app on your phone (either iPhone or Android)
- Take photos with your phone and let Google Photos automatically upload them to your private online account
- They're automatically sorted by date, and grouped by people, places, and things
- Find your best photos, open and beautify them with just a couple tweaks
- Don't bother deleting, you have unlimited storage for free, just put those best photos into albums
- If you still have a computer, you can download your albums - voila! a cleaned up, organized set of photos on your computer.
