Greetings from Italy! We've been here 10 days now. We started in Naples, then toured the Amalfi coast, saw the sights in Rome, and now we are in Tuscany. Chris is attending a writer's workshop, and Jim has figured out a way to
deliver our Episode 234 from here, even though we can't do it live.
We had 4 days in Rome. The first day we just rode around on the Hop-on Hop-off bus and got our bearings, then we planned all the places we wanted to visit on foot, entered them into Google Maps, and then used that plan for the next 3 days. It was a very interesting process and we'll tell you all about it in this episode. We'll show you how we:
- Found all the places we wanted to go and entered them into Google Maps directions
- Saved the directions on Google Maps so we could pull up the list each day and add/delete/rearrange our stops as we wanted
- Navigated with Google Maps in walking mode and used Live View to really see where we are and which way to go
*Note: we will be pre-recording this episode, but delivering it at the normal time. We may or may not be able to participate in the chat live because we will be in a cooking class :-). But we do plan to do our normal members-only Zoom meeting afterward - from the cooking class!!
