We are in London now and trying to get adjusted after an all night flight. We won't go live today, but maybe one day this week we'll just do a "Hello from London video. Make sure you are subscribed to our YouTube channel and click the bell to get
notifications when we go live. We are in London for Chris to attend the Google Product Experts Summit. She is a Diamond level Product Expert for Google Photos, but she will also be attending sessions on Google Maps and YouTube. We're in London for 2 weeks. You use Apple and iCloud Photos; can you contribute photos to a Google Photos album? We've had 2 or 3 instances just this week where people who
use Apple and iCloud Photos needed to contribute photos to someone else's Google Photos shared album. Both Google Photos and Apple's iCloud Photos are like ecosystems and albums are a part of that ecosystem. If you are using the same system as the album, then adding photos is a piece of cake. If not, then it can be difficult. Google will try to get you to install the app on your iPhone and upload all your photos to the Google cloud, but what if you don't want to do that? I've consulted with my fellow Google
Photos experts and found that, if you get a link to a Google Photos album and open that link in a browser on your phone, you can now tap the "Add photo" button, then the "Upload Button," choose Photo Library, and you can now add your photos to the Google album, no problem. Cool - but it doesn't always work - your mileage may vary. Help Chris
figure this out!If you use an iPhone to take your pictures, and you do not use Google Photos at all, you don't even have the app installed on your iPhone - here's your challenge: Thanks! Blessed be the flexible for they shall not get bent out of shape. Chris Guld
