Speed-Dial Widgets for your Phone
You want to make a phone call, or send a text. Wouldn’t it be nice if
you could just tap on an icon of a person’s face? Guess what? You can. It’s called a Widget.

iPhone
- Longpress (touch and hold) on a blank area of a home screen
- You should see other icons start wiggling
- Tap the “+ “Edit” in top left and choose “Add Widget”
- Scroll down and tap on Contacts
- Choose single, 4, or 6 button widget, and tap “Add Widget”
- With icons
still wiggling, tap on the single contact and tap the name you see. You can now choose any name in your contact list (show buttons will add a button for phone call and message
- Tap back anywhere on home screen, swipe up for home
- You now have a button to call or text that person
Android
(Samsung)
- Longpress (touch and hold) on a blank area of a home screen
- You should see options appear at bottom, tap on Widgets
- Scroll down and tap on Contacts
- Choose 1X1, Add and Choose contact from your list
