If you feel your pictures just don't do justice to the beautiful places you've been, you owe it to yourself to check out Snapseed. It's a free photo editor for iPhones or Androids. That's what we covered in this week's episode: Episode 136 of What Does This Button Do. .Notice the text on the picture above. That was done using Snapseed, in addition to enhancing the photo itself. It's just so much fun, you'll feel like you're finger painting as you create stunning works of art out of your simple iPhone or Android snapshots. It only
takes a few seconds, right on your phone.
Tip of the week: Google Photos Broken Dates
We reported on a bug in Google Photos. If you scanned old photos and used Google Photo's tools to change their date from the scan date to the date the photo was taken, AND, if that changed date was before 1979, you may have been
affected by this bug. The bug caused the date to be broken. The photo was still in your library, but it went back to the date it was scanned
.
FIXED!!
We are very happy to report that the Google Photos team worked diligently and got the problem fixed. It took nearly 2 weeks, causing some wringing of hands and gnashing of teeth, but it is fixed
now. Hurray! Here is the official forum thread.
