Hi
Do you tend to take electricity and Internet connectivity for granted? When you get out in the wilderness, you can't do that! You need to plan
ahead and download stuff you'll need. Like maps, and books, and movies. You also need to be constantly aware of your battery life. If you're out exploring all day, and you're taking photos - did you know it's viewing the photos that uses the most battery?
When you're out in the boonies, you probably won't get any cell reception. Did you know your phone is using up a lot of battery power just searching for
cell towers that don't exist? To stop that, turn on airplane mode, it will make your battery last a lot longer.
In this week's episode we talk about all that and more. If you didn't watch it live, click the red button below to watch the YouTube recording, and remember - if you join
Geeks on Tour, you get the written notes of these weekly classes and you can ask us anything on our Q&A page.
This episode also covered a tip and an app:
