If you take a picture and nobody else sees it, did it really happen?
The first thing to know is that even though your Google Photos are stored in the cloud (aka online, on the web/Internet) they are private for your eyes only. Nobody can search the Internet and see your pictures. You need to be logged in using your Google account, password, and extra 2-step verification code.
But what about those fabulous shots you took at the Grand Tetons? You're proud of those, and you want to share. How do you do it?
- Select the photos and videos you want to share
- optional: create a named album
- click the share button (see image)
- Choose the option "Create Link"
- Now you can paste that link in an email, or in a text, or on a webpage. Anyone who can see the link can click on it and see your pictures and videos, they don't need Google Photos to do this.
