What's up with Jim and Chris - the Geeks?

In July we went on another dive trip to the Caribbean. This time it was Little Cayman Beach Resort.

The photo above was taken using Jim's Pixel phone in a unique underwater housing. Then it was color corrected with the amazing app called Dive+. See the story in our Fun with Photos: Episode 22 Underwater Photos and Albums using your Phone

Tutorials: We recorded a few more videos this past month, see #868-71 on our All Videos Page. We also presented to the Sarasota Technology User Group on Google Photos Tips and Tricks.

Community: As always, we enjoyed our Members-only Zoom meetings. This month we hosted one of the meetings from our Dive resort in the Cayman islands! We also held a private meeting called "Member Orientation" where we gave a tour of our website and explained how to learn from all the materials there. If you are a member, you can see the slide deck for this class as well as the recorded Zoom meeting here. The meeting summary, prepared by Zoom A.I. is also on that page.

If I write it down, I do it. At least eventually! I need my lists. I’ve tried so many ToDo list programs and apps, but I always end up going back to paper and pen. The apps either have too many features, or not enough. I’ve now found one that is just right.

Google Photos on your TV using Chromecast.

In this episode of "Fun with Photos" we show how to set up Google Photos as a screensaver for your TV. See Tip063 for step-by-step and more information.

How to make Group Photo Albums

Using Google Photos, you can make an album and then invite people to contribute photos and comments to the album. Once they have done so, you will see their name appear in the corner of the photo thumbnail. It’s a great way to collect photos from everyone at an event or on a trip, like weddings, or conferences. Then you can even print a photo book of the results.
