Geeks on Tour: Quick note - What's New
Published: Fri, 05/02/08
Hello ,
I just wanted to drop you a short note to let you know what's going
on with Geeks on Tour.
We are busy working on lots of new video tutorials. A series on
Photo Story 3 is almost complete. Next comes Windows Vista. Make
sure to check out my short video posted on RV.net;
http://blog.rv.net/2008/05/01/multiple-clocks-with-windows-vista/
When these videos are all complete it will be time to convert
www.GeeksonTour.com to a membership site. That means you will need
to become a member in order to view the videos. Don't worry,
membership won't cost much - we're thinking $5 - $10/month.
Current newsletter subscribers will get a special one-time
discounted price. The newsletter will remain free, and there will
be several free sample videos in each topic, but full access to the
videos, and the newsletter archives, will be limited to paid members.
Our summer schedule is shaping up with appearances at the following
locations:
RV-Dreams Rally: Branson, MO June 9-14
with hands-on computer boot camp pre-rally June 9-10
Safari Reunion: Amana Colonies, IA July 1-5
Country Coach Rally: Amana Colonies, IA July 8-11
FMCA Convention: St. Paul, MN July 14-17
Timothy Lake Thousand Trails/Outdoor World, PA Aug 16-23
Gypsy Journal Rally: Celina, OH Sep 15-19
For more details, click on the links at the bottom of our home page.
We have also just submitted a new article to the FMCA magazine! It
will be a while before it gets published, keep a lookout ok? If
you missed the last one (all about Internet connections while you
travel), you can read it online at:
http://www.fmca.com/fmc2008/marmag/internet.asp
Another article of ours, 'Computer Offices in a 30 ft. Motorhome'
was just reprinted in the Trailer Life Directory tech tip enewsletter. Make sure to view the Google Video.
That's all for now,
Happy Computing!
