Geeks on Tour: New Featured Video, Website changes, Facebook
Published: Thu, 12/17/09
Hello all Geeks on Tour Members and Newsletter subscribers!
Featured Video:
If you visit the Geeks on Tour website (www.geeksontour.com) you'll see we've posted a new 'Featured Video.' Just click where you see 'Featured Video' - this video will be free for everyone for a month. It shows you how to use the Files and Folders screen in Windows Vista and Windows 7. This is also referred to as Windows Explorer and it looks quite a bit different than it did in XP. Members can go on and watch the entire series of Vista videos - just click on Vista in the menu at the left of the home page. If you're just switching to Windows 7 from XP, these videos apply to you as well since 7 is a continuation of Vista.
New Home Page:
The content on the Geeks on Tour home page is different. We've added so much stuff over the last year or so that it just doesn't fit on one screen anymore! So, now you need to scroll down to see all the items on the home page. The menus at the left stay pretty much the same, you should be able to find everything on that menu just like before. If you have any questions, please send us an email - you can just reply to this message.
Follow us on Facebook or Twitter:
We've been experimenting with Facebook and Twitter and we like them. It's a great way to keep our readers up to date without cluttering up your inbox. We post something once, twice, or even more each week. And, you can comment back as well.
