Geeks in July
For the month of July, we hit the road, headed for Vermont. We left Fort Lauderdale after celebrating the 4th of July on a water taxi, then traveled up the east coast. We stopped at some gorgeous places along the way. You gotta click thru to look at our July Photo Album! The photo above was taken while on a boat ride on the Hudson River. Jim never fails to ask a boat captain, "Can I drive?" This time, they said Yes! Just long enough to snap a picture!
We also presented our "What Does This Button Do?" online class from the RV whenever we had enough bandwidth. See more stories on our blog.

Where we're going:  For August we start at the FMCA Convention in West Springfield, Mass. Then we have a couple seminars scheduled in New York City at Senior Planet
By the way, our pictures, Blogs, Web Albums, maps, and videos are all examples of what we teach.  You can learn how to plan, preserve, and share your travels (or your life.)  It makes the experience that much more enjoyable to get creative and share pictures, maps, stories, and movies with friends and family. Check out our Learning Library of Tutorial Videos, just go to GeeksOnTour.com and click the menu for Tutorial Videos. There are plenty of free videos in addition to our members only content to whet your appetite for learning.

Travel Planning: The Missing App is RVNotepad
Travel Planning is fun! But it requires gathering information from a thousand different places, making choices on what to do and what to skip, and then finally, calculating miles, dates and costs.  There are a lot of tools to help you with this challenge, but there are always a few missing pieces.
We've asked Pamela Johnson, of RVNotepad, to tell us about how her App fills in those missing pieces!

Google Photos Creates Animations
The fireworks on the 4th of July is a great example of a time to use animations. And, it cannot be easier than with Google Photos!
If you take a series of photos, Google Photos may even make the animation for you and just give you a notification that it's done!
You can also make your own.
Read the article to learn how it's done.

Come to our Florida Rally in October
Well, it feels like "our" rally! Actually it's Living The RV Dream Gathering, hosted by John and Kathy Huggins. We'll be there giving several of our seminars PLUS a private workshop after the main rally.
Our friends from TechnoRV will be there giving seminars, Al Hesselbart - the RV Historian and, of course John and Kathy telling you all about the RVing lifestyle.

Reset your Smartphone's Data Connection
If you believe your phone is not getting the best signal possible, you can “kick it” and force it to re-acquire its cell signal. This is like hanging up from a phone call with a bad connection. Then call back and you’ll most likely get a better connection.
